  • Centroute Map Company has no association with any transit agency or organization, unless otherwise stated as officially licensed. Our prints are not official transit maps, and while fully accurate, are not intended for use for navigating.

  • Mass transit systems are always progressing and revising, if you see a print that needs updating or correcting, please contact us about official revisions. All maps, diagrams, and prints are designed from open sources, are original art, and intended to be up to date.

As far as showing future lines and stations, our rule is if it’s under construction and announced to open within one or two years, it’ll be included on our prints. Planned or proposed elements are not included. We aim to future proof our prints as much as possible, and within reason. No fantasy maps.

  • Yes, we have those! We “renovate” older maps for a crisp, modern print, and to best pair with our current maps.

Some are currently listed, and we do take requests, but only if there is enough information to complete a renovated map.

  • Our concept is ‘form over function’ and we limit when a map becomes too much, such as urban transit and regional transit systems. After all, we want it to look good framed and on your wall.

We separate such systems into their own print. For example, Paris Metro / RER, BART / MUNI, and U-bahn / S-bahn systems.

Bus routes and light rail lines are a secondary or tertiary consideration in fulfilling our prints.

  • No alterations of any design elements. Most of our prints are vertical/portrait in orientation. If you prefer a horizontal/landscape orientation, contact us and we can discuss options.  Not all prints can switch orientations.

  • All of our prints include our logo unless otherwise shown. Our logo is an intentional art element and balances the name or title on the print, as well as identifies our prints with pride.

None of our prints come with a watermark — a semi-transparent element — that obscures the main subject matter.

  • Our Etsy store was our first venture into selling transit prints to a worldwide audience. There may be a difference of what prints are offered here versus Etsy — all of our prints are available here. (During our current soft launch of this site, most prints are on Etsy) Otherwise same prints, same quality.

We will continue our Etsy store for those who prefer to shop on that platform.
